Mated queens give lots of brood, quickly. Our queens are productive, reliable and consistent, with a good brood pattern.

Virgin queen bees
Virgin queens are a popular economical alternative to mated queens. Because they are caged with escort bees, they are easier to transport than queen cells.

Queen cells
Queen cells are the most economical way of re-queening your hive. Queen cells are raised in specialised hives, with cells grafted from our breeding stock.

Instrumentally inseminated queen bees
Widen your hive’s genetic pool by using our instrumentally inseminated queens. These queen bees can be breeder queens for your hives, either as queen mothers or drone mothers.

Proven-to-type queen bees
Proven queen bees go through at least two brood cycles to show consistency of type (Italian or Kiwi Hybrid), good brood pattern, and a low likelihood of becoming drone layers.
